Nars Sheer Glow -Unhappy Opinions

I wanted to love this foundation, but unfortunately I just couldn't. I have tried all different ways of applying it; with a primer, fingers, different brushes, but nothing seemed to work. It would go on alright, however if there was even a touch of dryness to my skin it would cling and emphasise the dryness. It also would not build up enough coverage in the areas I needed it, that being my nose and chin, but it would look too heavy on my cheeks. It wore badly throughout the day, slipping and sinking into my pores, especially on my cheeks and around my nose. But I know this is a cult product, which so many people love, unfortunately it just doesn't work for me. No matter how much I wanted it to! Next on my list to try is the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint and the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. Hopefully I have better luck with these products!

New Obsessions, Old Obsessions: Music

I thought I would start a series of New Obsessions, Old Obsessions posts where I talk about things that I have been obsessing over more frequently. I'm going to start off with music, because that's what inspired this mini post series, but I'll also do some posts on beauty, fashion, food and everything else I seem to be finding myself obsess over.

New Obsession: Sky Ferreira, Night Time, My Time. I just got into this album when I heard the song Boys, and I instantly fell in love with it, which led to me streaming the whole album, and getting caught up in a fantasy of the world in which Sky Ferreira would possibly live in.

Old Obsession: Radiohead. No particular album here, just Radiohead in general. I've been getting all nostalgic on my iTunes lately. Certain songs that have been hitting the repeat button more frequently, including Just, Last Flowers, Let Down and Lurgee.

Style Muse: Matthew Hitt

I admire when people have their own style, and they stick to their guns. As a Drowners fan I find myself scrolling through tumblr looking at photos of Matt Hitt, and admiring not just his amazingly good looks, but also his own personal style. Skinny jeans, leather jacket, band T-shirt, and some form of casual footwear need it be chucks or doc martins. And of course a cloud of smoke coming from a lit cigarette held in his hand, like an extension of his own person. He's just effortlessly cool.
